Wow. I think my mind is still sorting out all of the different chaotic scenes from my shopping for ladies golf shoes this morning.  You always hear about all kinds of crazy things happening when people shop for ladies golf shoes on Black Friday morning, but I never really thought it would be that bad.  Today proved me wrong.  I guess most of my fellow shoppers really, really, really wanted—no, they seemed more like they needed to get that special, heavily discounted pair of ladies golf shoes.  People were running around the ladies golf shoe store like chickens with their heads cut off.  I swear, it seemed like they thought that the pairs of ladies golf shoes were going to grow wings and just fly off of the shelves, leaving nothing for them to buy.  I think the scene at the ladies golf shoe store today was like some crazy nightmare—but I got a great pair of ladies golf shoes at a great price, so it’s all good!

I really think we all have a lot to be thankful for this Thanksgiving-like really great deals on ladies golf skorts!  Ha ha, but no.  It’s tough for me to set aside my ladies golf skorts discussions, but today is about a whole lot more than being thankful for a new ladies golf skort.  I am thankful for my wonderful family and all of my great friends.  I am thankful to be able to live in such a great nation, and to enjoy the blessings of freedom and liberty that it provides.  I am thankful to have a roof over my head and food on my table (and it’s thanksgiving, so that food is definitely turkey!)  I am thankful for the soldiers defending us in foreign lands.  I have so much to be thankful for right now…including Black Friday deals on ladies golf skorts! Oh, boy.  Today is obviously the day before Thanksgiving, but to me it is a whole lot more than just that.  Today is the day before the relatives arrive, which means that today is the day I need to do a whole lot of work, which means that today is the day I’m going to panic!  I don’t know that I’d do without my trusty ladies golf clothing.  Wearing my favorite outfit of ladies golf clothing just allows me to think more about ladies golf clothing and less about the enormity of the task that lies before me.  And it is definitely a big task.  Cleaning the house, putting the ladies golf clothing in the washer, getting all the food ready, making sure the turkey will be perfect, getting out the good china and all of those Thanksgiving decorations…I am honestly not sure if I would be able to do it all without the help of my ladies golf clothing.

I still can’t get over the effect that Michelle Wie’s victory has had on the world of women’s golf and of ladies golf apparel.  If anyone else had won that tournament, the mainstream media would not have cared one bit.  Heck, I don’t know if ESPN would have even put the winner on their bottom line.  Actually, I’m pretty sure they wouldn’t!  But if Michelle Wie, golf phenom and ladies golf apparel icon, wins a tournament, it’s huge news.  Nearly every sports media organization—and a lot that rarely cover sports—spent a good amount of time talking about Wie and her ladies golf apparel.  And I know that this win was special for the ladies golf apparel star because it was her first one, but I don’t think it will stop here.  I think she could potentially grow into a Tiger Woods-size character, dominating the news and putting ladies golf apparel back in the public eye.

It is rapidly becoming evident that basketball and tennis players are not the only athletes who use the courts.  Even the world of ladies golf skorts has had to face the complicated twists and turns of our legal system.  I’ve seen ladies golf skort companies in court over different deals and problems, the association that governs ladies golf skorts in court to defend its decisions, and the players who wear ladies golf skorts in court for a whole plethora of different reasons.  It just seems so weird to me that such a big part of the world of ladies golf skorts involves the courts these days.  It seems kind of disheartening to me.  I had always hoped that we in the world of ladies golf skorts would be able to solve our problems without resorting to legal action, but apparently we simply have not reached that level of understanding just yet.

Wow.  Can you believe that Michelle Wie, ladies golf clothing icon for quite some time now, finally has gotten her first professional win?  It seems so crazy to me that it took Wie so long to get a win, but I am very proud of her now that she has finally achieved this big milestone.  She has looked a lot more confident in her game and in her ladies golf clothing lately.  We all know how big of a star she is, and hopefully this victory will give the LPGA tour and ladies golf clothing some more air time on the major sports TV networks.  I am just very excited that the ladies golf clothing phenom has finally gotten her first victory.  And the fact that she won at the Lorena Ochoa Invitational just adds to the significance.  She defeated ladies golf clothing stars like Ochoa, Jiyai Shin, Paula Creamer, and Christie Kerr.   This was a big day for Wie and for the entire ladies golf clothing world.

I was pretty shocked this morning to see an article on one of my favorite golf bag accessories .  The subject of the article—how some golf bag accessories can be great stocking stuffers—didn’t surprise me at all.  What surprised me was the timing of this article—it’s not even Thanksgiving yet!  I mean, I know people are anxious to get golf bag accessories as Christmas presents, but come on!  I am kind of divided over this article. Part of me just wants to appreciate the information in the article—I really do think that golf bag accessories can be great stocking stuffers come Christmas time.  But there is another part of me that just can’t get over the fact that we are talking about golf bag accessories being great Christmas gifts in early November!  Am I going crazy, or is this time of year just too early to be talking about golf bag accessories as Christmas presents?

I have always loved seeing two great masters of ladies golf apparel going at it.  In pretty much every sport—well, every aspect of anything, really—there is a great rivalry, a competition that everyone loves watching.  The world of ladies golf apparel has had a whole lot of these rivalries over the years.  It’s usually pretty obvious to see these big rivalries.  In basketball, Lebron James and Kobe Bryant are supreme. The world of American politics is ruled by the Democrats and the Republicans.  UNC and Duke will always vie for the number one spot, and will always dislike each other.  In the world of men’s golf, it’s pretty evident that Tiger Woods and Phil Mickelson are the two big rivals.  But in ladies golf apparel?  Lorena Ochoa and Jiyai Shin are currently numbers one and two, but I don’t think that the world of ladies golf apparel has a defining rivalry right now.  It’s a shame, because I think that a big rivalry in the world of ladies golf apparel would really add to the sport.
